Jerry Reen
Managing Principal
Jerry Reen was the founding principal of Financial Solutions Partners in late 2002. He has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s development since it’s founding in 2002 and leads the strategic direction of the firm and oversees all investment, stable value wrap and implementation functions. The firm is dedicated to life insurance solutions applied to benefits, especially in the context of BOLI and COLI.
Prior to founding FSP, Mr. Reen was President of Winklevoss LLC, where he led the BOLI team for seven years. He traded structured mortgage products at Morgan Stanley from 1990 through 1993. Mr. Reen received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School between his years at Morgan Stanley and Winklevoss.
Mr. Reen has been the creative force behind significant innovations in the BOLI marketplace since 1997, especially in the structuring of superior asset strategies, contractual cost guarantees and carrier representations and warranties. Mr. Reen has negotiated directly with major carriers to construct policies that reflect these innovations.
Mr. Reen’s BOLI experience covers needs analysis, asset management strategies, insurance contract negotiation, insurable interest determination, financial analysis, compliance and regulatory consulting to the client prior to the client’s decision to purchase. Mr. Reen has been responsible for the implementation, including negotiation on the client’s behalf prior to final funding, the coordination of employee census and employee consents, compliance consulting to the client prior to the client’s decision to purchase.

Ken Nguyen
Ken Nguyen is Managing Director overseeing all aspects relating to third-party portfolio management of the separate accounts. He joined Financial Solutions Partners in 2005.
Mr. Nguyen began his career with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in 1996 in the tax-exempt municipal bond funds area. His last role before joining FSP was with Dreyfus Funds, a division of Bank of New York Mellon, where he was an intermediate portfolio manager for the taxable fixed income team that managed $10 billion for institutional and retail clients across 40 mutual funds, closed-end funds, and tailored separate accounts. He has deep experience with managing short duration funds, high yield funds, core bond funds, and mortgage/structured product funds.
At FSP, Mr. Nguyen is responsible for overseeing and working with 3rd-party asset managers, acts as a liaison between client banks and insurance carriers, develops new investment guidelines for new bank clients as well as working with carriers to optimize current ones. He is also in charge of performance review and return attribution analysis, assists in bank regulatory reporting, stable value, annual board review preparation, interest rate modelling, and assists in income forecasting.
Mr. Nguyen attended Seton Hall University and graduated with an accounting degree and an MBA from Montclair State University with a Finance/Economics concentration.

Matthew Henofer
Matthew Henofer is Managing Director for Pre- and Post-Purchase BOLI Analysis and Implementation. He joined Financial Solutions Partners in 2005.
Mr. Henofer began his career at Penn Mutual Life Insurance company as a pricing actuary. In that capacity, he gained an intimate knowledge of insurance policy structuring and pricing. Mr. Henofer also spent several years as a consultant actuary at AON where he was responsible for managing client relations in addition to applying his insurance structuring expertise in the COLI/BOLI industry.
Immediately prior to joining FSP in 2005, Mr. Henofer ran the Midwest operations of Westport HRH for several years where his responsibilities covered all aspects of running a COLI/BOLI shop with a particular emphasis on modeling the financial impact of the transactions as well as drafting non-qualified benefit plans including split dollar, supplemental executive retirement and deferred compensation plans.
At FSP, Mr. Henofer is involved in all aspects of the transaction. He works very closely with the banks pre-transaction by explaining FSP BOLI, analyzing the bank’s current BOLI and associated non-qualified plans, employee communications and regulatory paperwork. He is also always available to the bank post-transaction as a resource.
Admitted as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Mr. Henofer is also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a Certified Fund Specialist, a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, and holds a BS in Actuarial Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University.

Jeff Lee
Jeff Lee is Managing Director of Client Services. He joined Financial Solutions Partners in 2006.
Mr. Lee had previously been Vice President and Co-founder at Finaplex, Inc., a portfolio management software firm focused on performance measurement, portfolio accounting, and investment management for large banks and brokerages to service their high net worth clients, since 2000. He was CFO for the first three years of the startup and later held positions running Product Management, Product Development and Professional Services.
Mr. Lee also had a 10 year career with Wells Fargo where his last position from 1997 to 2000 was as Senior Vice President, Asset/Liability manager, responsible for firm-wide interest rate risk management. He also had responsibility for market risk across all of the trading desks in the firm and his team developed Value-at-Risk models for FX trading, Derivatives trading, Investment Portfolio and High Yield Portfolio. Mr. Lee acted as the primary representative for the Bank to the OCC, Federal Reserve and KPMG in the areas of market risk, interest rate risk and derivatives policy.
Mr. Lee’s experience also covers an extensive background in the mortgage banking industry with positions at Wells Fargo in its Secondary Marketing department and Countrywide Funding Corporation in its Strategic and Financial Planning department.
Mr. Lee received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Alberta, and an M.B.A. in Finance from University of Oregon where he was awarded the Oregon Honors and Chiles scholarships.

Jordan Walter
Jordan Walter is Vice President for Pre- and Post-Purchase BOLI Analysis and Implementation. He joined Financial Solutions Partners in 2022.
Mr. Walter began his career with Ivy Equities Management, a real estate private equity firm, as the sole Analyst tasked with providing quantitative valuation, attribution and cash flow models to identify potential investment properties in conjunction with the Acquisitions team. Immediately prior to joining FSP in 2022, Mr. Walter was a Senior Associate at Signature Bank in its Fund Banking Division. In this role, he led the credit underwriting team in its principal task of origination through the issuance of credit facilities to private equity funds. By the time of his departure from the role, Mr. Walter acted as the main point of contact for over 45 clients in the private equity space and managed over 100 credit facilities.
At FSP, Mr. Walter is involved in all aspects of the transaction with a primary focus on business development, insurance contract negotiation, and BOLI implementation.
Mr. Walter received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.

Adam Gelman
Adam Gelman is Senior Vice President for Pre- and Post-Purchase BOLI Analysis and Implementation. He joined Financial Solutions Partners in 2023.
Mr. Gelman spent the first 25 years of his life insurance career with The Prudential Insurance Company of America. He served in various management roles, focused on business management, client relations and product expertise.
During his 25 years at Prudential, Mr. Gelman spent over 17 years in Prudential’s BOLI/COLI business. That business develops, issues, and administers variable Bank-Owned and Corporate-Owned life insurance products used by employers to prefund their nonqualified benefit plan liabilities. Mr. Gelman was the head of that business for over four years and was responsible for setting customer experience, strategic and growth initiatives for the business.
At FSP, Mr. Gelman is involved in all aspects of the BOLI transaction. He works closely with banks by analyzing the bank’s current BOLI holdings and associated non-qualified benefit plans, reviewing employee communications and regulatory paperwork, and making recommendations to Banks to help improve their BOLI performance. He is always available to help the banks as a BOLI resource.
Mr. Gelman received his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law and his BA from Rutgers University. He holds FINRA Series 26, 6 and 63 registrations and is licensed to sell life insurance.
